My Podcast Interview Debut

A few months ago, I was invited to be a guest on the new “But… Why?” Podcast by Michaela Renee Johnson. I accepted the invite because I felt the Lord was giving me an opportunity to speak at a time when I should speak.

  • Ecclesiastes 3:7 tells us that there are times to keep silent and there are times to speak. With all that is taking place, I felt it was a time to speak.

I’ve listened to many podcasts, but I never appeared as a guest on a podcast, so I did not know what to expect. Also, it had been a long time since I verbally discussed Bible prophecy-related matters with another person. I was unsure what I was getting myself into…

Thankfully, Michaela is an experienced and excellent interviewer. She was able to guide and direct the conversation in a way that helped things go a lot better than I thought they would go.  The result is a 51-minute conversation that was released this past week. If you want to listen, you access the interview below (also available on all other major podcasting platforms):

One of the things we discussed is the potential timing for the start of the 70th week of Daniel or the tribulation. I spoke of 7 potential timelines in this century where we could see the start of the tribulation.

  • I spoke of how the midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel could fall on Easter.
  • I also spoke specifically of a 75-day gap between Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, but it’s unclear what I meant by that in the interview.

To clarify, I believe the end of the 70th week of Daniel is likely to end on Yom Kippur. This falls 1,260 days after the midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel.

Daniel 12 speaks of a 1,335-day timeline that extends from the midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel to a time when someone who is around at that time will be blessed. The gap between Yom Kippur and Hanukkah is 75 days in some years, so there are some years in this century when the 1,335th day from the midpoint would fall on Hanukkah.

I believe Hannukah will have end time significance (i.e., the dedication of the temple where the Lord will reign), so it’s reasonable to assume that the 1335th day will coincide with Hanukkah.

There are only 7 timelines this century which have a midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel fall on Easter and have a 75-day gap between Yom Kippur and Hannukah.

I go into much more detail about this in my book Prophecy Proof Insights on the Last Generation, but I wanted to clarify this point in case you listen to the interview.

I hope you enjoy the interview. I spoke faster than I would have liked at times, but Lord willing, I’ll get better with that over time.

  1. Interesting interview, Wayne. I like where you were headed around minute 16:50 concerning the weakening of democracies. Feel like you were on a path to say more but you guys kind of got sidetracked on some other things at that point. Wish you could pick back up on that and fully flesh it out. Or maybe you did and I just failed to connect it. Not really sure.

  2. Hi Wayne, I look forward to the interview. Can you list the 7 dates you reference? How did you determine the 7 dates?

      • Thank you, Wayne! I will try to get your book if I can. I enjoy your work.

I was wondering about the dates because I didn’t know if you had considered Passover dates rather than easter dates? That might narrow it further.

        • The Easter dates fall into the Passover timelines in a way that don’t really eliminate any of the timelines from consideration…

Easter dates work really well because of the significance of the date and the potential for the Antichrist claim that he’s been raised from the dead at the midpoint of the tribulation. I think I spoke of that around the 30 minute mark of the interview.
