What Is the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is an event that celebrates the union between Christ and His wife New Jerusalem. The event is alluded to in Revelation 19:7-9.

"(7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. (9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God." (Revelation 19:7-9)

It is also depicted in Isaiah 25:6 onward:

"(6) And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. (7) And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. (8) He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it. (9) And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation." (Isaiah 25:6-9)

The Church will be invited guests to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. They will be blessed for being called to attend.

The Marriage Supper of the lamb is an event that celebrates the union between Christ and His wife New Jerusalem. When will this event take place?

It will not take place during the seven year Tribulation as some teach. The event will take place around the start of the Millennium when New Jerusalem will descend from Heaven:

"(2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Revelation 21:2-3)

It may be the special day mentioned in Daniel 12:12.

"Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days."
