When Will There Be a New Heaven and New Earth? Video Transcript
Revelation 21 describes a new Heaven and a new Earth after the defeat of Gog at the end of the Millennium:
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." (Revelation 21:1)
This leads many to conclude that a new Heaven and a new Earth will come after the Millennium.
However, it’s likelier that a new Heaven and a new Earth will come at the start of the Millennium since the planet and its atmosphere will be wrecked by the events of the seven year Tribulation. Think of a new Heaven and a new Earth at the start of the Millennium as a renovation.
Psalm 102 compares the renovation to the discarding of a worn-out garment.
"(24) I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations. (25) Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. (26) They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:"
