The First Angel of Revelation 14 Video Transcript
Revelation 14 records the announcement of three angels. The first angel has the everlasting gospel, and it will preach to the world. The angel warns the people of the earth to fear God and to give Him glory for the time of His judgment is about to arrive:
"(6) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, (7) Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." (Revelation 14:6-7)
The significance of this announcement is that it represents the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom spoken of by Christ in Matthew 24:
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Matthew 24:14)
This message will be preached just before the end of the age when God pours His full wrath will on the wicked.
