Is Gog the Antichrist?

Many believe that Gog from the land of Magog is the Antichrist. I formerly believe that they were the same person. However, the more I studied, the more I realized that they are likely different people. I explain why Gog is not the Antichrist.

Gog Is Not Antichrist: Video Transcript

Many believe that the chapters that speak of Gog from the land of Magog refer to the Antichrist. However, I disagree.

Gog will die and will be buried in Israel. The Antichrist will be cast alive in the Lake of Fire:

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog." (Ezekiel 39:11)
"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." (Revelation 19:20)

Another difference is that the Antichrist will preside over an empire whose sphere of influence will dominate the earth and will comprise of ten kingdoms:

"(11) And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. (12) And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. (13) These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17:11-13)

In contrast, Gog will lead a coalition that has less than ten nations:

"(2) Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, (3) And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: (4) And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: (5) Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: (6) Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. (Ezekiel 38:2-6)

Gog and the Antichrist are not the same person. They will be opposing leaders during the Tribulation.
